Dear Member, The Indian Association of Geneva is pleased to host the celebrated Kriya Yoga teacher Kambiz Naficy for a talk on 'A Happy Life' on Monday 12 March 2018 at Quakers Hall starting 18:15 hrs. This is part of a series of talks by eminent persons on the theme of 'Values and Modernity', which the IAG hopes would inform and inspire the younger generation in particular and equip them with tools to deal with modern life's challenges. Kambiz Naficy studied in Iran and in the United States, where his father was a diplomat in the Kennedy years. After degrees in Business Management and Finance from Harvard and Columbia, he worked as an investment banker on Wall Street with American Express and ran his own IT company in the early days of the Personal Computer. He took a turn inward and studied Vedanta and Yoga, first under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and then under Swami Hariharananda, who with Swami Yogananda was a disciple of Sri Yukteswara Giri in the Kriya Yoga tradition of Babaji. He founded the Joy of Life Organization in the U.S. at the turn of the century and has been teaching Kriya Yoga and stress management to individuals and corporates in Asia, Europe and North America since then. He currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Shadi. Kambiz Naficy straddles East and West and has a unique communication style. His idiom is modern, scientific and non-denominational but the message coming from the ancient spiritual texts and practices is authentic and undiluted. He is the author of 'Riding the Waves of Life' and has just finished writing his second book titled 'A Happy Life'.
