The Indian Association Geneva is pleased to host the celebrated Nilooferji, Exponent of Vedanta,Vedic Chanting and Sanskrit. Having studied with Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, an illustrious teacher of Advaita Vedanta, in the lineage of Adi Shankaracharya, Nilooferji’s learning and devotion to the tenets of Vedic Philosophy and Culture have blossomed into lucid expositions, which have been a source of wisdom and strength to aspirants. Vedanta is the knowledge of one’s identity. It encompasses the Knowledge of elevating the Personality to prepare for Self-knowledge.
She will give a Discourse on 'Sama Dukha Sukha – the mysterious balance in joy and sorrow'. One of the biggest challenges of changing times is the uncertainty they bring. It can be hard to know what to expect and this can lead to unnecessary overthinking and stress. The feeling of loosing control over situations may make us incapacitated to steer through the situations. Navigating through changing times requires resilience, adaptability and readiness to understand the subtle balance between joy and sorrow.
The event will take place on 18 May 2024 at The Permanent Mission of India, Avenue Appia 21,1292 Pregny-Chambesy (Geneva) starting at 16:00 hrs. The discourse will be in English.
Nilooferji is a gifted and trained Western Classical pianist. She often uses music to alter habitual thought patterns and invoke a reverence for Higher Wisdom. A combination of the knowledge of the ancient Vedic works, Psychology, Western classical music and an art to communicate, she effortlessly combines all these to bring about an understanding of the connectedness to the whole. She conducts discourses. Workshops and retreats worldwide and also teaches Vedanta texts to committed seekers online.
