Indian community in Geneva with support from Indian Association Geneva is delighted to invite you to "Violin Concert" of Dr. Mysore Manjunath and his son Sumanth Manjunath, accompanied by Vid. Neyveli B. Venkatesh on mridangam. The event will take place on Saturday 29 June 2024 from 17.30 to 20.00 hrs at Permanent Mission of India, 21 Avenue Appia1292 Pregny Chambesy, Geneva.

Dr. Mysore Manjunath, an amazingly gifted violin maestro and the son of renowned violinist Prof. Mahadevappa, emerged as a top-ranking Indian violinist after displaying extraordinary talent from the age of 8. Acclaimed globally, he has performed at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House, earning accolades from critics and audiences. His unique style blends classical rigor with emotive appeal, inspiring many young violinists. Performing with his brother Mysore Nagaraj, he captivates listeners worldwide. An esteemed academic with a Ph.D. in Violin, he has received numerous awards, including the Rajyotsava Award.

Sumanth Manjunath is a highly talented violinist, continuing the rich legacy of his father, Dr. Mysore Manjunath, and grandfather, Prof. Mahadevappa. Recognized for his extraordinary musical skills from a young age, Sumanth has performed at esteemed venues and festivals worldwide, captivating audiences with his emotive and virtuosic style. As a rising star in the world of Carnatic music, he is celebrated for his innovative approach and deep commitment to classical traditions. Sumanth's performances are noted for their blend of technical mastery and soulful expression, earning him acclaim from critics and music lovers alike.

Vid. Neyveli B. Venkatesh is a renowned Carnatic percussionist, celebrated for his expertise on the mridangam. Trained under esteemed gurus, he has established himself as a top-ranking artist, performing with leading musicians at prestigious venues worldwide. Known for his rhythmic precision and innovative techniques, Venkatesh has significantly contributed to the evolution of Carnatic percussion. His performances are acclaimed for their energy and musicality, making him a sought-after accompanist and solo artist in the field of Indian classical music.
